I meant to update earlier but I got lazy & then I had to run errands and blah blah blah. Anyways, I bought these books the summer after my senior year of high school but I haven't gotten around to actually reading them (sighs.) So I'm hoping to finish them before 2013 ends, since I'll be job hunting and going to school and yeah~

the first book that I seriously need to read is the hunger games; I bought this when the movie came out but sakjfhjksdhfkj never got around to reading it. I also have a thing where I have to read the book before seeing the movie idk why, it's just me I guess.

I bought this when the nearby borders was closing and it was on clearance for $5 so why not. I've never heard of this author before, but the story is about 3 sisters who's mother passes away but their father is extremely stern & cares more about his image than about his children. A stranger then comes to town and changes the sisters dynamic, pitting them against one another.

I absolutely love Jodi Picoult's works and the fact that this was on sale for $5 had me floored; the story takes a look at the nature of religion & belief and how it's organized and it also delves into America's death penalty.

this book was actually recommended to me by my AP US History teacher but basically the book follows one man's adventures across the country as an ultra-runner as he pushes his body to the limits. it's supposed to be an inspiring story, but I have yet to read it!

this particular book I got on sale for $10 but basically the story revolves around Tessa Gray, a 16 year old girl who is unaware of her powers. The world delves into shadow hunters, angels, demons, vampires, warlocks, and the supernatural. Not even going to lie, it was the album cover that caught me eye first.

these two books are part of the house of night series, the fifth and sixth books, respectively, and I started reading this series my junior year but haven't gotten around to catching up. after tempted there are 5 other books that were released, though I'm not sure if the series is still ongoing or complete at this point (oops.)

this last book my friend Chase got me at our high school's used book sale for ~$6 or so. but (if it wasn't obvious enough, haha) it's a crime novel. I would go more into depth about this but I can't remember and I'm much too lazy to go into the study and grab it~
