this is so long overdue, but finally i'm posting about my 3 week trip to australia! i've been putting off this post for months, and even completely forgot about it at one point, but here it is! i spent most of my time in 3 places: sydney, gold coast, and melbourne.
SYDNEY
first destination was of course the opera house, lol.
lots of photos with cousins. lots of them.
night before smash con, gotta make sure skin care was on point.
i actually didn't take a lot of of photos at smash con... unfortunately... cosplayed this nontan UR
I JUST !!!!!!!! MY DARLINGS
also, maki's VA's performance outfit, heh. the bias is real.
i met sugiyama noriaki (VA of sasuke !!!!!) and got his sign board ahhhhhh
also spent too much money on prints
i don't remember where we went the day after, but it was very scenic. lots of water and rocks.
the day after was just a cousins day and all we did was eat and walk around.
took the ferry by the opera house to taronga zoo. selca with my cousin nathan lol
by the entrance was a peacock wandering around like ????? well ok....
apparently these kinds of trains are really rare to see in sydney, so we were super lucky to be able to get photos of one!
took a bunch of purikura and polaroids before we left sydney for gold coast
GOLD COAST
the view from the balcony of our hotel room in gold coast was amazing
dream world & movie world were loads of fun. though i still prefer disneyland and six flags /shot
adrenaline junkies tbh
the outdoor pool was so pretty but since it was in the middle of winter no one was in it lol
spent most of our time in the gym, indoor pool, and the jacuzzi ofc
on the last day we decided to wake up super early and see the sunrise
we literally just rolled out of bed. i don't even think anyone brushed their teeth, let alone their hair
impromptu photoshoot because no one else was in the pool area lol. the boat for the kiddy pool is so cool ugh
MELBOURNE
melbourne was so cold. props to my uncle's selca skills lol
everyone in their natural habitat
we went to a hot spring about ~2 hours away and honestly, it's as amazing as you think
there were so many different kinds of baths and things to do, i think we trekked around the entire place 2 or 3 times LOL
the day after that we went to sovereign hill which is basically a historical town, complete with people dressed up in the the 'olden' fashion. it was pretty interesting, though the thing i remember the most is that their sausage was good and their boiled candies are amazing.
bread is love. bread is life.
the last couple of days was spent shopping and eating tbh. also this burger was amazing (ridiculously expensive, but delicious)
it didn't even feel like i spent 3 weeks in australia since it flew by in the blink of an eye. probably because we were always so busy doing something or another but i definitely would love to go back. too bad tickets are like $1.3k per person /shudders
i had to go through thousands (yes, thousands) of photos from this vacation and honestly i probably missed one thing or another but OTL i can't be bothered to go back. everything was so unorganized (thanks, dad.)
also i wish muji and uniqlo would open stores closer to SD.
